GTA 5 Fights To Become Highest Grossing Console Game in History, So Far So Good!

So you might have heard that there is a new game out on the market for gamers to sink their teeth into, I mean with the marketing strategy being to teaser and please you would have to be out of touch with the gaming community not to know it, Grand Theft Auto 5 is now alive and kicking… Literally!

With years behind the development and a budget that many of the latest Hollywood films to hit the cinema would have dreamed of, Rockstar Games knew that their latest addition to the popular GTA series was going to have to bring its ‘A Game’ if it was going to achieve what they had set out to do… Become the best selling game of all time. Queue evil laugh…

With improved graphics, storylines, missions and much more on offer, the game offered a promising sense of achievement even before the game hit the shelves on September 17th and following its reveal during development, reviewers revealed that they thought that the game was going to be strong enough to overcome the title of being the highest grossing console game of all time, a title that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 occupied.

Statements showed that Rockstar Games were not about to let the FPS shooter hold the crown much longer and early predictions for the new GTA addition tipped the game to make over $1 billion within the first month, something that seemed to be extreme at the time of comment but that is almost a reality already… Just 2 days after release!

According to figures being passed around the games news industry, GTA5 smashed through the entry gates of the sales market, securing over $800 million in sales on the very first day of release, seeing over 1.4 million copies of the game being taken home and loaded into a gaming console as the player looked to unlock the secrets held within.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 did well on their first day of release, making $500 million on release day and taking a matter of weeks to clear the $1 billion gross mark but on the rate of demand of the latest offering produced by Rockstar North, GTA 5 should clear the $1 billion milestone in a matter of days, helped by the fact that the game is still to launch in Japan and Brazil.

Whoa! Google Forces Me To Clean Up!

I know that i'm not the only one that has been threatened with the prospect of being thrown out of the limelight that is the Google search results but the difference between me and the other guys that have been slapped with the huge Google tickle stick is that I don't build backlinks! Or even try for that matter!

So over the years I have had a number of websites that I have spouted my garage on and it seems that every once in a while there will be a couple of people that like the abusive nature of my rants (mellowed out a lot since) that they decided to share it with others via one of these so called backlinks.

I have no problem with people sharing that about and don't monitor the situation in any way but it seems that although I haven't posted on these sites for years, Google is now taking action against me for not keeping a clean (link based) house.

Warnings of unnatural links pointing into my site shouldn't bother me as the site mentioned has never been more than a hobby site that never made money, hell it had no way to be able to do it as ads are evil!

So now, without the willing to loose my website into the darkness of the coveted Google bin, I have been forced to get someone to come in and tell these linkers that its time to stop linking into my site and move on...

So speaking to a couple of guys that I knock about with they mentioned something to do with a UK company that offer the service for a one off fee and it depends on the number of links i have into my site (Google, you owe me the frigging money for this so if you read this let me know where to invoice!).

I contacted them to see what they said about the site and so far it seems that they know what they are talking about anyway, so should be interesting to see what sort of recovery the site makes with those guys doing the work while I leave it to rot as per usual haha!

Oh, the site doing the work for me by the way is www.linkdeletion.com, they seem nice enough (but not really someone that deals with this sort of thing normally so take them as you find them!).

Temple Run 2 Update Increases Unlockable Features

With the Temple Run series of games still very much in action across the mobile community, Imangi Studios, the creators of the title have once again moved to increase interested in the game by offering up a new update which has seen the addition of three new unlockable characters for gamers to play with.

In a bid to keep the game fresh and still relevant to those of you that will have racked up loads of gold coins and distance over the past 6 months, Imangi have now given you something to aim for as you now try to get the chance to take on the Temple Run challenge ahead of you as Jack Wonder, a footballer themed character as well as the chance to run the gauntlet as either a different explorer which seems to come from Indiana Jones themed fame or even a conquistador!

Although the game update simply increases the playable characters that you can use, like many of the previous updates there have been a number of bug fixes that should help to make your gaming experience a little smoother than before although I am still looking to see what notes there are on the release of the update to be able to pin point anything noticeable that could have been fixed.

I’ll be sure to update you guys a little more when I have more for you.

Free Games Usage in Schools?

Believe it or not, the world of online gaming has become more of a feature within the classroom than anyone could have predicted and thanks to the sea of game developers that are battling it out to provide the very best in gaming titles that are suitable for children during school time, it seems that things such as maths and physics based games are being brought into the lesson timetable by teachers!

That’s right, no longer are lessons about having to sit and look at a whiteboard for a double period or even having to sit through mock tests, instead it seems that education has finally realised that there is a place in the market that can help students to get to grips with important lessons in both the mathematical and physics field.

With websites like GamesCroc.com offering cool math games for kids and other well known brands within the free gaming world doing the same, teachers are now seeing that there is an interactive way in which students can learn and in a way that they don’t even know that they are learning, instead they feel that they are having fun!

With the educational system constantly finding new ways to engage with children and older students it looks like the free gaming market is more than willing to offer them an alternative to text book learning as we knew it…

Do you think that we are going to see lessons and classes become more interactive through the creation of further lesson based games or will the faze die out?

Crushing Candy Has Never Been So Much Fun

Now anyone that knows me and my gaming habits will know that I am not one of those conventional gaming types of guys that gets caught up in the hype that comes with large scale mobile games but man I have slipped into the dark side with the latest title I have been playing.

Now although I hate adding free gaming apps to my iPhone, a taste of the delight that Candy Crush Saga Online had to offer later resulted in me adding the free mobile game to my phone, finding its home next to the only other title I have on there, Plants vs Zombies.

A simple yet addictive title of connect 3 or more, the concept on the game is so simple that there is no where that I would have even dreamed that I would be interested in it but after checking out just how long I have spent on it over the past few days, I am nothing short of addicted.

A sad fact but one that I am more than happy to stand by, judge me all you want but I challenge you to head to the app store and download it, play it a couple of times and then see if you want to delete it or not...

Give me a shout if you do fancy playing it, my invite will still be free to you but will allow me to play more of the game!

5 Free Online Games That Are Big Right Now

Due to the online gaming market being flooded with titles almost daily, the interest in the offerings that the industry has seen have resulted in a number of gaming titles becoming hit games within days of release and there are many games out there which are pulling in some very impressive search volume to say the least.

With these gaming titles now quickly becoming available on multiple sites, we thought that we would highlight some of the games that are stealing the online action for many gamers, so that you too can play some of the best free online games on the market, so check out the list and see which of these takes your fancy…

Happy Wheels

Happy Wheels has become a title that is a must play for any racing or physics game fan as the game offers the very best of both world, basing a racing game on the 2D physics game engine to really offer a new dimension to the world of racing games and with the added bonus of more blood than you would see in a horror movie, skipping over this one would be considered to be a sin by many.

Pokemon Tower Defense

The world of online tower defense games seems to be growing at a rapid rate and with so many styles of tower defense game out there at the moment, it can be hard to be able to find one that you really get involved with but it seems that the volume of players that are looking for the Pokemon Tower Defense series is so high that clearly we have a must play title here too.

So being given the chance to be able to battle your Pokemon against those wild ones that are attacking the city, stepping up to the limelight has never been so fun.

Ultimate Raceway

Car racing games have always been a big market but with as many titles within this category as we dare to even think about naming, we needed to see something new, fresh and exciting to be able to add it into the list that we have for you today and a recent spike in interest in this F1 racing title was enough to be able to allow us to do that.

Choose which of the F1 teams you want to represent and put your foot down as you look to find the best racing line around the track to make sure that you are taking home the championship.

Racing Toys

Another of the free online car racing titles that we have for you in the list but one that comes from the interest that surrounds a classic title that couldn’t fail to hit the spot for many of the gamers that we have spoken to.

Inspired by the MicroMachines series of games that were more used to been seen in console gaming format, Racing Toys offers you the ability to steer your way through a series of tracks that just like Micro Machines, offers you the chance to have to avoid everyday objects that are seen in regular day life, such as milk spillages!

Temple Run Online

Although it seems that there is loads of search volume for the game at the moment, that has to be related to the release of Temple Run Oz that has stormed onto the scene, bringing the very best of Temple Run gameplay into the magical world of Oz as depicted by the popular Wizard of Oz story.

As yet we have not been able to find any of the Temple Run games online but it seems that there is great interest in the games that are being substituted into its place, so you can check those out and let us know what you think.

Not Done Much Gambling Thanks To Work Related Projects

Well the time came that my online gambling simply had to take a back seat to my work commitments as at the moment the stakes and returns that I am seeing aren't about to fill the bank with a wealth of new bank notes and the fact that my son has started to play Pokemon Tower Defense 2 (think that is what its called, couldn't make it out for the screaming yesterday), my time to be able to sit back and take on the world has been dramatically reduced.

I know that I was a little more frequent with the posting on my blog over previous months but with commitments outside of the gambling world I didn't want to bore you with the ins and outs of working life, I mean most of you will have your very own working experience.

My plan is to take a couple of months off the gambling scene in order to get things ahead with the workload that I have as well as working on securing new clients for the company, so for the meantime this will become more of a personal touching base blog than one about how I managed to overcome A/K suited with my 7/8 off suit... Just a heads up.

Remember guys and gals, gamble responsibly and until next time readers, good luck at the tables!

I am still alive!

Hi all,

Seems that there have been a number of you wondering where I have been, so thought that I would check in quickly to be able to give you a heads up as to what is going on with me right now.

At the moment I am in the process of just moving house, shout out to MartinLonsdale.co.uk for that, so things should calm down in a couple of weeks as I need to get things sorted as I make a stand on my own two feet!

Life is being lived out of boxes and the moment and I can't tell you how many Pizza Hut voucher codes we have used over the last couple of days but hey, i'm hungry and I can't see the kitchen!

Anyway, I will be trying to be more frequent with the posting on here but I need to unpack the boxes that contain my life and get settled in.

Stay Frosty San Diego!
